DIY : Create your all natural homemade bronzer powder

Summer is almost there! We all want to look good, but even if the sun is among us, it’s not easy for everyone. No need to rush to Sephora to buy a bronzer powder though. You can keep your money because, in this article, I’ll show you how you can realize one yourself with some natural ingredients from your kitchen.

All you need to get some all natural homemade bronzer powder is some :

  • Cinnamon powder,
  • Potato starch,
  • Cocoa powder,
  • A few drops of essential oil of lavender, rose or rosemary (optional),
  • a small container or an empty case of makeup

If you wish, you can add a little powder of nutmeg, a spice that gives the color of a naturally tanned complexion. If you have dark skin, add turmeric.

I do not specify the quantity because it depends on your skin color, which is good that way because you will be able to customize your powder as you want!

Why these ingredients?

Well, it’s very simple : Cinnamon brings shine, cocoa powder gives a dark shade and potato starch helps to lighten the mixture.

What to do next:

Place some cinnamon and cocoa in a small bowl and mix with a spoon. Then add a little potato starch until you get the color you want. Ideally, you have to have a little bronzer (like your old bronzer powder soon empty) to compare the nuances and to arrive at the ideal color. Otherwise, test directly on your face!

I suggest you take notes about the quantity of each ingredient, at a point you will get your own perfect recipe.

With this recipe, you will obtain a loose powder. If you want a more compact tanning powder, add a few drops of essential oils to spices and potato starch then pack it.

All you have to do is to apply it with a big brush and shine :)

This powder is kept for several weeks in a sealed pot.
